Every event we create is one-of-a-kind, and while some may require more or less time to execute, every D2 event follows our proven six-phase process.

During the initial discovery phase, we’ll work with you to determine the ideal timeline. Milestones may adjust slightly based on how quickly we receive feedback at key stages. Once your proposal is signed, we’re ready to hit the ground running.

With over 30 years in the industry, as well as a stint on the stage in his earlier career, Doug Davis has built a reputation for delivering seamless, high-impact events through a combination of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on project execution.

Under his leadership, D2 Production Services has produced a wide range of events, from large-scale corporate and nonprofit events and conferences to brand activations and galas, serving clients across entertainment, corporate, and agency sectors. Known for a deep understanding of lighting, audio, video, staging, lighting, and rigging systems, Doug leads teams that transform creative vision into precise, on-the-ground execution.

As a business owner, Doug is and has been passionate about hand-picking and creating a strong and cohesive team that excels in cultivating strong industry relationships, building reliable vendor networks, and maintaining a client-first approach that ensures each event exceeds expectations. The team combines technical fluency with business acumen to deliver productions that are not only visually stunning but also efficient and tailored to any budget.

Angela Davis came to D2 as a seasoned expert in executive operations management, program leadership, and financial oversight. With over two decades of experience across nonprofit and for-profit sectors, she brings a 360-degree view of organizational performance, designing and implementing innovative, scalable solutions that drive efficiency, sustainability, and long-term impact.

 Angela has built a reputation for being a servant leader, having a people-first mindset, and an ability to translate complex challenges into streamlined, actionable strategies.  She is a collaborative and empathetic team member and a leader who knows how to get things done.   From launching nationwide programs to renegotiating multi-million dollar contracts, she consistently aligns execution with strategy, balancing mission with margin, people with performance.

Office Administrator

Annabel Morales came to D2 with a strong background in hospitality, property management, operations, and team leadership.  She brings exceptional organizational skills, creative problem-solving, and operational savvy to everything she does.  Currently serving as the Office Administrator at D2, she ensures seamless coordination behind the scenes, from scheduling and invoice tracking to client communications and crew support.

Her diverse experience managing short-term rental portfolios, restaurant teams, and office operations gives her a unique ability to adapt quickly, think on her feet, and anticipate the needs of fast-moving teams. Whether coordinating vendors, managing timelines, or making sure everyone’s where they need to be, Annabel keeps our company running smoothly and efficiently.

A team player at heart, she’s known for her reliability, friendly presence, and ability to stay cool under pressure – making her an indispensable part of any crew.

Paul Emrick came to D2 as a seasoned event production professional with a strong focus on technical production and operations management. With over 20 years of experience in the live events industry, Paul specializes in leading the planning, coordination, and execution of complex technical elements for corporate events, large-scale productions, and weddings.

Known for a strategic, solutions-oriented approach, Paul excels in managing cross-functional teams, integrating AV systems, overseeing rigging and staging, and ensuring seamless show execution from load-in to strike.  His expertise spans lighting design, audio engineering, video systems, and production logistics, with a track record of delivering high-impact experiences under tight timelines and budgets.

 

Paul has worked with major clients and collaborates closely with vendors, venues, and creative teams to bring ambitious visions to life safely and efficiently. Whether advancing technical riders, building production schedules, or troubleshooting on show day, he brings calm leadership and technical precision to every project.

Andrew Sadler

Andrew Sadler came to D2 as a skilled audio engineer and technician with a strong background in live event production, specializing in sound system design, FOH, and monitor mixing, and on-site audio support. With 10 years of hands-on experience, Andrew plays a key role in delivering high-quality audio for corporate events, social events, and private productions.

Known for a detail-oriented and collaborative approach, he works closely with clients to ensure clear, balanced sound tailored to each venue and audience. Andrew is experienced with a wide range of digital and analog consoles, wireless systems, and projection setups, and is adept at adapting quickly to changing environments and last-minute Challenges.

Whether leading audio setup, managing sound checks, or troubleshooting during events, Andrew brings technical precision and a calm, professional demeanor to every event. He is passionate about creating experiences that elevate the overall production value and leave a lasting impression.

Jim Shafer

Jim Shafer came to D2 with decades of experience as a major market morning radio personality. He’s been performing as a musician and singer since his teens, and has worked hundreds of live events as an audio engineer, video operator, lighting technician, and stage manager.

Jim places client satisfaction with every event at the top of his priority list – no matter his role in the event. Jim has innumerable experiences as a moderator, guest speaker, and sports announcer for both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL and the Charlotte Hornets of the NBA.

Shavar Horton

Shavar came to D2 in 2024 as an invaluable Production Lead.  A New York native, Shavar Horton is a veteran musician with over 20 years of experience as a professional performer, producer, and music arranger. His musical journey began at just 9 years old, learning to play piano in his grandmother’s basement and serving as the church musician for his grandfather’s congregation in Brooklyn, NY.

Driven by passion, dedication, and a deep love for music, Shavar has become a respected name in the Gospel industry and beyond, working across a variety of musical genres. In addition to his performance career, he has expanded into behind-the-scenes roles, partnering with D2 Productions as a professional crew member and sound engineer, bringing his technical expertise and musical insight to a wider stage.

Sam Ettaro

Video Producer

Sam Ettaro came to D2 as a seasoned video producer and multi-camera live production expert with over 30 years of experience in digital media, social media, live event, music production, and television/documentary content creation.   As D2 Production Services’ video specialist, Sam brings a unique blend of technical mastery and creative vision to every project.

A former award-winning media arts educator (retired) and a lifelong advocate for technical training, Sam recently relocated to Charlotte, NC, and now focuses his expertise on helping clients harness the full potential of modern video production technologies.  His technical expertise within the realm of IP-based video systems based on vMix and NDI, coupled with his educational and IT experience, ensures seamless integration across all platforms to all desired delivery points.  He has designed podcast studios, built streaming and digital signage systems for churches and schools, and regularly produces content for nonprofits, corporate town halls, and enterprise-level clients alike.

 

By adding video to D2’s established audio-visual and lighting expertise, Sam helps deliver cohesive, high-impact event experiences, whether it’s a high-impact corporate livestream, a multi-camera IMAG production, or a complex hybrid event… or all of the above.  Sam’s approach is always turn-key and mission-focused, making high-quality video production accessible, effective, affordable, and aligned with each client’s goals.
